SYSTEM COMPONENTS, ACCESSORIES AND INSTALLATION KITS FOR THE AN/PRC-77 SERIES RADIOS.

NAPCO maintains an extensive inventory of System components, accessories and installation kits for the AN/PRC-77 Series Radios (AN/PRC-77, AN/VRC-64, AN/GRC-160).

AN/PRC-77 SYSTEM COMPONENTS & ACCESSORIES:

The ST-138/PRC-25 Harness is a cotton duck back pack. It is sewn to secure the receiver-transmitter so that it can be carried on the operatorís back.

The CW-503/PRC-25 Bag is a sectionalized canvas carrying case used to store the two whip antennas and the handset.

The AT-892/PRC-25 is a one-section, three foot, whip antenna. A spring at its base allows the antenna to be placed in a vertical position no matter what the position of the receiver-transmitter. It is constructed of steel tape and can be folded for storage.

The AT-271A/PRC is a six section, tubular, folding whip antenna. A stainless steel, plastic-covered cable (or braided plastic cord) under spring tension is threaded through the sections to keep them together when assembled for operation and prevent their separation or loss when disassembled. Spring tension is provided by a spiral spring in the base section. An antenna top cap installed on the tip of the antenna provides protection for personnel.

The AB-591/PRC-25 is an antenna base that will act as a rigid support for the tubular six section antenna.

The H-189/GR Handset contains a dynamic microphone and receiver for transmitting and receiving signals. A push-to-talk switch is mounted in the handle. The connecting cord is retractile and terminates in a five-pin connector.

The OA-3633/GRC Amplifier-Power Supply Group converts 22-28 volts (24 VDC nominal) vehicle power to 12.5 to 15 volts DC to allow operation of the receiver transmitter from the AN/PRC-77 manpack as a vehicle radio in either the AN/VRC-64 or AN/GRC-160 configuration.  The group consists of an AM-2060/GRC Audio Amplifier-Power Supply for received signals - with manually selected antenna matching circuit, a loudspeaker, operating controls built in and CX-4655/GRC Special Purpose Electrical Cable Assembly for interface with the receiver-transmitter.

The AS-1729/VRC Antenna center-fed whip can operate over the 30-76 MHz range, at power levels up to 70 watts. Its primary application is to replace Antenna AT-912/VRC in the following radio sets: AN/VRC-12 series, AN/VRC-53 or AN/VRC-64, and GRC-160. It can also extend the communication range in Radio Sets AN/PRC-25 and AN/PRC-77.

The MT-1029/VRC Vehicular Mount is used to shock mount a radio and the amplifier-power supply to the vehicle. The mount contains a junction box with connectors to provide distribution of power, control and signal voltages between the amplifier-power supply and other components in the system. A connector on the front of the junction box mates with a connector at the rear of the amplifier-power supply. Three additional connectors at the bottom of the junction box provide for connecting the system's power and control cables.

The MT-1898/VRC is similar to the MT-1029/VRC but used to mount the R-442/VRC Auxiliary receiver.

The MT-6352/VRC is similar to the MT-1029/VRC but used to mount the SINCGARS radios.

The AM-4700 RF Booster Amplifier is a linear Mode RF Booster Amplifier designed to operate with and attached mechanically to any Military VHF Transceiver. The RF Power Output is a nominal 50 Watts CW with a nominal gain of +13 dB operating into 50 Ohms (Pin - 2.5 Watts; Pout = 50 Watts) with +26 VDC applied. Because the basic amplifier design is linear, the unit will operate with input drive levels over the range of 1 Watt to 5 Watts while maintaining about 13 dB gain.

AN/PRC-77 SYSTEM INSTALLATION & ACCESSORY KITS:

NAPCO's Installation Kits are designed to provide all items necessary to install and make operational a radio set in a tactical or administrative wheeled vehicle such as a jeep or truck.  Items typically included are mounts, audio equipment (microphones, speakers, etc.), cables, adaptors, nuts, bolts, washers, screws and other miscellaneous hardware.

An Installation Harnesses is required for first-time or a change of radio type in an armored (tracked) combat vehicle.  The installation harness typically consists of radio mountings, the audio amplifier and control boxes for the AN/VIC-1 Intercommunication Set, brackets, cables and other miscellaneous hardware.

NAPCO's Accessory Kits are a combination of items such as radio audio accessories, installation instructions or technical manuals, and other miscellaneous items required to complete a radio installation in an armored combat vehicle.

NAPCO supplies installation kits, harnesses and accessory kits to the latest U.S. Military Procurement Parts List (PPL) for the use of various radio sets in a wide variety of tracked and wheeled vehicles.  Additionally, NAPCO has the expertise and experience to develop installation kits for non-U.S. manufactured vehicles.

All kits are individually packaged and furnished complete with detailed instructions.
